Monica’s Okra World
Have you seen this new face popping up at market? Meet Sam- the Monica’s son! The Monica’s 150-acre farm (currently farming 50 acres) is located up the river in St. James Parish, where the sweet creole soil runs deep in their veins. Christine Monica has been doing this since she was in 5th grade, following the footsteps of her father who made sugarcane farming his life’s work. Find Christine and children Jessica and Sam at all of our weekly markets, Tuesday through Saturday, with a wide variety of produce for your Easter dinner and egg dying rituals.
