Market Umbrella is an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3), based in New Orleans, whose mission is to cultivate the power of farmers markets to drive economic and community health in the region. Market Umbrella has operated the Crescent City Farmers Markets (CCFM) since 1995.

The Crescent City Farmers Market takes pride in having a diverse market in both product offerings and vendor demographics. There are four categories that vendors fall into based on the products that they sell:
- Category 1 - Raw Agricultural Products
- Category 2 - Value-Added Products
- Category 3 - Protein
- Category 4 - Prepared Foods

When reviewing vendor applications, the Crescent City Farmers Market prioritizes vendors who:
- Are underrepresented business owners
- Are small, start-up businesses
- Provide foods that are culturally significant to New Orleans and/or Louisiana
- Produce culturally significant products from a diversity of cultures
- Prioritize using local ingredients when possible

About Us
The Crescent City Farmers Market operates weekly year-round throughout New Orleans. The CCFM hosts 70+ local small farmers, fishers, and food producers, and more than 150,000 shoppers annually.
