Recipe
Charred Snap Peas
After trying delicious snap peas at a market tasting last week, we just can't get enough! This past week, we have been making this recipe for Charred Snap Peas, adapted from Eating Well, with nearly every meal! Charred snap peas are crisp, fresh, savory, and a little smoky in all the rights ways. Eat these snap peas with your favorite sauce or follow the recipe for a delicious sesame-chili sauce. Make more than you think you need, because you will want more!
Ingredients
- 1 pound snap peas, trimmed
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Optional: honey, hot sauce, green onions to taste
Directions
Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add peas and cook until slightly charred, about 2 minutes.
Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until charred on all sides, 3 to 4 minutes more.
Add oil, soy sauce, and any optional ingredients. Stir and cook for an additional 1 or 2 minutes, until peas are glazed.
Serve hot with your choice of sauce!
