All Treats, No Tricks: Halloween at CCFM!

Join CCFM for an eerie-sistible Halloween at Market, happening at the City Park Market at Tad Gormley Stadium Sunday, October 29th from 8 am to noon! Shop for your favorite fresh fruits and veggies and enjoy the spooky season festivities! This Halloween market will feature giveaways for all who come in a food-themed costume, live music from the New Orleans Rug Cutters, satsuma decorating, a honey-caramel tasting demo, and more!

Machine Lady Concessions will bring popcorn goody bags as well as giant games that everyone will be sure to enjoy. This year, we are excited for RicRACK to join us to do a spooky kids crafting activity. We hope to see you there for a spook-tacular time.

Greaux the Good Year 1 Program Report

Greaux the Good, Louisiana's statewide nutrition incentive program, released its Year 1 Program Report. During the program’s first year (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023), there were 11 operating farm-direct partners whose Greaux the Good funded program reached customers in 34 parishes and redeemed $140,222.37 in incentive dollars.

Greaux the Good was made possible through an appropriation in the 2022-2023 State budget. Funding was secured in July 2023 for the continuation of the program. Greaux the Good has demonstrated that it is good for farmers and good for families across Louisiana.

VEGGI CO-Op now accepts SNAP online

We’re so excited to announce that our signature nutrition incentive program, Market Match, has added a new partner location: the VEGGI Farmers Cooperative with SNAP Online! Shoppers can now receive 50% off fresh fruits and vegetables when they use their SNAP/ EBT card while ordering from VEGGI through the GrownBy online system.

The VEGGI Food Co-op is a grower-owned cooperative, meaning it’s 100% owned by growers in the New Orleans community! Farmers share the land working individual portions of the plot while maintaining their own farming operations. Each growers produce is then collectively marketed and sold under the VEGGI Farm Coop brand. You can find their produce weekly at CCFM’s Tuesday and Thursday market or shop online with GrownBy! Parking Reminder

As you prepare to come out to Crescent City Farmers Market to celebrate Halloween at Market, make sure you are familiar with the parking rules! We want to create a safe and seamless experience for market participants and residents of the surrounding neighborhoods! When parking at market, please pay attention to nearby street signs for listed parking restrictions at each market. For our Sunday City Park Market, there is no parking on Marconi Drive in areas with diagonal white parking lines or on the neutral ground (park there and you might find yourself with a ticket). At our Thursday Mid-City Market, this includes no parking on the uptown side of Lafitte Avenue. Finally, at our Tuesday Uptown Market, customers may enter the Tulane parking lot from Broadway or Leake Ave. When parking at any market, please pay attention to any nearby street signs so that we may all continue to enjoy all market locations.

Faust Farms

Welcome back to market Faust Farms! They are a third-generation family-owned business, established in 1985. Faust Farms carefully and tenderly care for their 60 acres of land in Amite, LA. They specialize in strawberries, cabbage, eggplant, cucumbers, bell peppers, and tomatoes, plus romaine lettuce and spring mix grown hydroponically! The dedication to growing high-quality produce is evident in the first bite of a strawberry or forkful of spring mix. Faust’s return to market signals a shift toward the cool-weather crop season.
